Reserve Bank of India Scholarship 2012(RBI Scholarship 2012)/ RBI's Young Scholars Award Scheme

Reserve Bank of India announces scholarship for young scholars. You can be eligible to grab this scholarship by participating in competitive exam that is going to be conducted by Reserve Bank of India. RBI announces it will select 150 young scholars among those who are going to attend the exam. Further statement released by RBI are "Selected candidates will be required to work on projects in select offices of RBI for 2 to 3 months and will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 7500/- per month during the duration of the project. RBI will assist outstation awardees in boarding and lodging. The awardees shall have no right/claim for an appointment in the RBI. Any candidate who had qualified and worked at RBI under the RBI Young Scholar Award Scheme in any of the previous years are not eligible to apply again.
All students, between 18 and 23 years of age, currently pursuing their undergraduate studies in any subject under any recognized university in India, are eligible to take the competitive examination. There is no application fee. The selection test will be held on January 29, 2012 at various centres across India. The results of the selection test will be announced in the first week of April 2012. Desirous candidates may submit applications only by the online mode. Last date for receipt of applications is December 16, 2011. Reserve Bank of India announced Young Scholar awards 2012. The announcement of scholarship is aimed to generate interest in Public Sector Banks and to gain some knowlege in Banking service. This scholarship involves competetive exam followed by a project in any bank. The question paper will be in English and also availabel in regional languages. Selected candidates will be asked to work on projects in selected offices of RBI for two to three months and will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 7500/- per month during the duration of the project. Students of age between 18 to 23 are eligible to apply. Application is available at free of cost.  Selection test will be held on Jan 9 2012 and results will be announced on the middle of march 2012. Intrested canditates can apply before 22nd oct 2011.
